Mexican-American literary feminist and artist.
I’ve worked in the publishing industry for a very long time and served in many different positions. Graphic artist, typesetter, bindery person, photographer and editor. I’m an artist and tinker, worked full-time as a prep cook and try to follow the philosophy of Ray Bradbury: “If you don’t like it, don’t do it.”
I have a degree in communications, am certified in graphic communications and just 15 units short of a BA in English (creative writing) from the University of Iowa.
After moving from California to Arkansas (18 years ago) my life fell apart. Today, I’m putting it back together. I’ve quit another dead-end job, sold my car and started working for myself and am flying just by the seat of my pants. Like all good things in life, this is a struggle. But I really believe in what I’m doing.
I also take on freelance work to pay the rent. I work best with book covers, T-shirt/merch design, logos and banners for your online presence.
