Stolen copy of Blue Tent — stealing indie books? Come on now!

9/25 Update: Amazon contacted me.

Hi Carla,

Thank you for your message.  Please be advised that we are in the process of removing the following Kindle titles from all Amazon sites:

The Blue Tent [Kindle Edition], ASIN: B0093TKGTO

It typically takes 2-3 days for a listing to disappear once it has been removed from our catalog. We trust this will bring this matter to a close.

9/24 Update: I was able to contact Amazon and they now have all of the information needed to investigate. Should know something later this week.

I was searching Amazon because I needed the link for Blue Tent and happened across this:

this is located at: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0093TKGTO

So I left a review telling Amazon that someone has stolen my content, somehow using my name but put a different cover on it and a price of $4.99!

I looked around Amazon to try to find a way to report this and can’t find anything. Amazon Help doesn’t have a link for stolen content.  Anyone else have this problem? Where’s Amazon help when you need to report something like this?

It’s not bad enough that we’re barely making it, but now people are stealing from us too? I’m so angry…

  1. I’ve emailed you the letter I wrote to Amazon’s legal department, following their instructions when I contacted them about a similar case. Included is the address you need to send it to and the kind of details you need to include. Best of luck!
