Paper World

Taken easily
by wind and storm
a paper world
is quick transformed.

unlike corn, rice or lint
a paper world
has no tints.

Papery people
poking around
fill my ears
with papery sound.

Disposable, pulpy
cheap and flimsy,
taken away by any wind’s whimsy.

pasted, cut, glued
and upended;
paper woman is new
but offended.

She is shaped and molded,
from linen and rags,
Ably racked
Easily unfolded.

Noesis dawns as a brand new day,
I find myself in a papery way:
thin, weak and a bit ungrounded,
bound in collage, looking confounded.
