Julia Cameron, author of The Artist’s Way suggests a daily ritual for blocked creatives she calls The Morning Pages.

Write three pages longhand every morning without editing. Writing only and no going back to re-read.

The exercise is meant to get rid of the inner critic, the censor, that part of yourself that tells you you’re a failure.

You can write down all your petty gripes for the day, worries/concerns, fears, etc. Anything that comes to mind.

Either get a brand new notebook and start a new page every morning, or write it on binder paper and put it in a sealed envelope so you don’t go back to read it.
